March 20, 1995 is to me a day of infamy. At morning rush hour, five two-person teams of cult followers unleashed deadly Sarin poison into the Tokyo subway system both killing and incapacitating and hospitalizing thousands. It shut down the giant transport system as authorities scrambled to get people out of the subways and platforms to safety. The doomsday cult responsible was Aum Shinrikyo led by self-styled guru Shoko Asahara. What was to be an aerosol attack (more deadly) was changed to liquid Sarin (less effective); it was carried in large packets wrapped in paper to disguise, and they were dropped to the floor of the subway car and pierced with sharpened umbrella tips. Not being aerosol helped, but it still left thirteen dead and thousands injured or scared half to death!

This event was one in a series of attacks designed not only to quell dissidents to the cult, but to shake up the existing system in the hopes of forcing an Armageddon-type retaliation. The cult followers, many of whom were highly educated, were (I believe) brained-washed cult style or gas-lighted into believing their actions were spiritual. If so, this was spirituality run amok, seeking power and control over the masses and destiny itself.

July 5, 2018 was a day of partial reckoning, as cult leader Asahara plus six cult members were executed by hanging for this specific attack and several other cult crimes and attacks. There was so much violence by this group that there is a lot of blame to go around and a large number of devotees to blame. This day stands out as retribution because the leader himself was executed. Unfortunately, the cult still exists, and as is common with cult mentality, the assassinated leader becomes the hero so the saga can continue. What can we find by examining those two dates astrologically?

The reported time was speculative: between 7:30 and 8:10 AM so I dug into the news deeper. The five teams traveled separately to their individual stations, entered the cars, and rode with the passengers as they moved towards the prime area. They dumped and triggered their Sarin nerve agent and then left the cars and stations immediately. These were coordinated attacks. Two assassins showed more specific timing close to 8:00 AM. The first call to the police was about 8:02 AM JST. Twenty-three years ago in Japan, that meant going out of the subway to a nearby shop to make the call. I chose 8:00 AM as the best possibility.  WOW!

  • A tight Neptune/Uranus/Midheaven conjunction ranges from 25:08 to 29 37 Capricorn, with Uranus conjunct the Midheaven within one minute of arc. Midheaven equals mission or accomplishment. The planet is just barely in the ninth house of religion and travel.
  • The eighth cusp of death and destiny is 14 Sagittarius 40 with ruler Jupiter conjunct at 15:08, and square Saturn at 16 Pisces 43. Saturn is part of the wide Pisces stellium of Mercury 7:30 and the Sun 28:52 in the eleventh house of groups and associations.
  • A north lunar node conjunction to the Moon from 6:00 to 7:16 Scorpio applies to the square of Mars at 13 Leo 18 Rx in the fourth house of graves and end of the matter. That in turn is separating from the opposition to chart ruler Venus 20 Aquarius 09 in the tenth house of fame and/or notoriety.
  • Sitting all by itself is Pluto at 00 Sagittarius 32 Rx in and co-ruling the seventh house of others or open enemies. Pluto is sextile the Capricorn planets at the top of the chart. The attack was well-planned and executed easily.

Can we see connections between this event and the execution on July 5, 2018 via diurnal? The seven who were hanged were all cult members, but some were convicted of other crimes, not necessarily this specific attack. The Japanese courts made sure all the appeals were completed before they acted, and that’s why seven executions happened at one time, with more to follow. Triggers?

  • Execution Midheaven 20 Taurus 07, square event Venus within 2 minutes.
  • Event ruler/execution Venus 24 Leo 13 is conjunct execution Ascendant 25 Leo 04 (event ruler not execution ruler).
  • Execution Neptune 16 Pisces 25 Rx tightly conjunct event Saturn 16:43 and tightly square event Jupiter 15 Sagittarius 08.
  • Execution north lunar node 6 Leo 03 conjunct execution Mercury 8:04, opposed execution Mars 8 Aquarius 49 Rx, all widely square execution Uranus 2 Taurus 06 (separating, prior sentence concluded).
  • Execution Moon 26 Pisces 59 conjunct event Sun 28 Pisces 52.
  • Execution Jupiter 13 Scorpio 24 Rx in applying square to event Mars at 13 Leo 18 Rx.
  • Execution Chiron 2 Aries 25 is conjunct the event twelfth house cusp within 2 minutes (prison).

Reminder: there are other cult members serving life sentences, plus reportedly six waiting their turn on the gallows. I would watch transiting Pluto and Neptune as potential triggers.

What about the cult leader? Born Chizuo Matsumoto, he operated under his cult name Shoko Asahara. He was born in Kumamoto, Japan March 2, 1955; no time is available, so noonmark was used. Space limitations: I will touch briefly on his personal chart as to its connections to the event chart and his personal execution. Reminder: timed event chart triggers natal/noonmark.

  • Noonmark natal cardinal T-square Venus 26 Capricorn 52 opposed Jupiter 20:14 and Uranus 24:00 both Cancer and Rx, all square Neptune 27 Libra 59 Rx;
    triggered by event Midheaven/Uranus/Neptune conjunction.
  • Noonmark natal Moon 18 Gemini 33 (plus or minus 7 degrees), was triggered by the event Jupiter/Saturn square. Visible in chart aspect Moon conjunct Ascendant speculative as time unknown.
  • Noonmark natal Mercury 15 Aquarius 29 opposed by event Mars 13 Leo 18 Rx.
  • Noonmark Saturn 21 Scorpio 11 Rx squared by event Venus 20 Aquarius 09. Note: noonmark natal Pluto is 25 Leo 12 Rx.

Execution of this specific person plus six other followers was July 5, 2018, time unknown. Used diurnal for speculative Asahara’s noonmark natal chart: diurnal (transits) triggers natal/noonmark.

  • Diurnal Venus 24 Leo 24 triggered noonmark Pluto 25 Leo 12 Rx.
  • Diurnal Pluto 20 Capricorn 12 Rx triggered noonmark cardinal T-square: Jupiter/Uranus/Neptune/Venus.  Reminder: if you trigger one planet in a T-square, the whole of that T-square is activated.
  • Diurnal Neptune 16 Pisces 25 Rx triggered noonmark Moon 18 Gemini 33 (speculative).
  • Diurnal Saturn 5 Capricorn 18 Rx widely triggered karmic noonmark N Node at 3:05. Conviction, sentencing and execution were a long, drawn-out process. Separating aspects show that part of the process.
  • Diurnal Uranus 2 Taurus 06 triggered noonmark Mars 2:35. Very widely, the diurnal Mars 8 Aquarius 47 Rx conjunct south node 6:04 opposed the north Node 6:04 and Mercury 8 Leo 17 was separating (past to present) square diurnal Uranus, a fixed T-square.
  • Diurnal Moon 29 Pisces 03 was literally at the end of its rope: the noose.
  • Diurnal Jupiter 13 Scorpio 24 Rx is square noonmark Mercury 15 Aquarius 29.
  • Diurnal Midheaven and Ascendant are too speculative to use. I wondered why his natal Sun 10 Pisces 46 was not involved. As I read his biographical information, he had seizures, disorientation, a God complex – I’m not sure how the tortured natal Sun could represent his self-identity at that point. The execution was not publicly announced until it was over, no spotlight on the event, and so the diurnal Sun 13 Cancer 04 was not active either.

The five subway teams (one assassin and one driver) were Ikuo Hayashi and Tomomitsu Niimi, Ken’ichi Hirose and Kiochi Kitamura, Masato Yokoyama and Kiyotaka Tonozaki, Toru Toyoda and Katsuya Takahashi, Yasuo Hayashi and Shigeo Sugimoto.

Also executed July 5, 2018 were Tomomasa Nakagawa, Masami Tsuchiya, Seiichi Endo, Yoshihiro Inoue, Tomomitse Niimi, Kiyohide Hayakawa.

No Rodden charts were available. The only other birth info found was Ikuo Hayashi born Jan 23, 1947, Shinagaws, Tokyo, Japan, no time. Tomomitsu Niimi born March 9, 1964, no time or place.
